Man accused of making threats on voicemail

Prosecutors charged Patrick Higbee, with two counts of felony telephone harassment.

A man who had been living in the Oak Harbor area allegedly left a series of ranting voicemails that repeatedly threaten to kill a Bellevue man for “hacking” into people’s brains, according to court documents.

Prosecutors charged the suspect, 30-year-old Patrick Higbee, in Island County Superior Court Jan. 31 with two counts of felony telephone harassment.

In August, Higbee allegedly left the messages on a corporate voicemail belonging to the victim’s wife, according to a report by a deputy with the Island County Sheriff’s Office.

In one message, Higbee threatens to put a bullet in the man’s head, the report states.

“I’m right in God’s sight to kill you,” Higbee allegedly said in a message. “To take your life. And I’ll do it slow first. You know how I’ll do that. I’ll break your nose first, and then I’ll kick your teeth in with my steel-toe boots. And then I’ll let you cry on the ground like a little turd for about 30 minutes.”

In a message Higbee accused the victim of “hacking into our brain, my future’s wife’s brain, if she loves me.” Higbee also accused the man of other wrongdoing, including breaking “every law that was ever written down the sands of time.”

“You’re just like Nimrod, brick builder. And you’re just like Nebuchadnezzar,” Higbee said in a message.

Higbee asserts in the messages that he is not crazy, is not on drugs, is not stupid and will be protected by Jesus Christ.

The report states that Higbee lives in Everett but has had been staying with family in Oak Harbor.
