At 2:59 p.m., a Terry Road resident reported that a neighbor sold rotten wood to another neighbor. The caller asked to speak to the “wood police.”

Tuesday, Sept. 27

At 11:42 a.m., a driver reported that a man was lying in a ditch on Highway 525 with his dog and lots of bags.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

At 1:05 p.m., a Carl Avenue resident reported that a man in red shorts was beating on his truck.

Thursday, Sept. 29

At 8:26 a.m., a resident reported that a great horned owl was stuck in barbed wire at a Highway 20 location.

Friday, Sept. 30

At 8:31 a.m., a Driftwood Drive resident reported that a boat motor that was stolen showed up online for sale.

At 8:42 a.m., a driver reported that a man was passed out in a ditch on Highway 525.

At 1:18 p.m., a man on Wanamaker Road admitted to “behaving poorly,” saying he threw rocks at a car and spit on a woman.

At 1:53 p.m., a caller on Monroe Landing Road asked how to dispose of a dead horse.

At 12:54 p.m., a Honeymoon Bay Road resident reported that an outboard motor was stolen from a boat that was moored.

At 4:12 p.m., a caller reported that after a soccer game at a field on Langley Road a man walked up to the assistant coach, handed him a joker card and said “meet me there and get your ass beat.”

At 5:39 p.m., a caller on Boon Road reported that a washing machine had been dumped in the area.

Sunday, Oct. 2

At 12:42 a.m., a caller on Orchard Loop reported hearing “a scary sound” that was either an animal or a motorcycle.

At 7:30 a.m., a caller on Maxwelton Road reported that bellowing cows might be in distress.

At 8:26 a.m., callers reported finding human remains and a large piece of plastic on a beach near Shore Meadow Road.

At 4:56 p.m., a resident reported that two horses were loose in the area of the Outlying Field Coupeville.

At 7:35 p.m., a resident reported that “souped-up” cars were racing in the area of Highway 525 and Bayview Road.

At 10:16 p.m., a driver reported coming upon a woman outside her vehicle parked on Deception Pass Bridge. The woman said she was contemplating jumping, but the caller’s son talked to her and convinced her to get back into her car.

At 7:59 a.m., a caller on East Harbor Road reported that a deer had its head stuck in a fence.

At 9:58 a.m., a caller reported that a semi truck tipped over on Highway 20.

At 10:28 a.m., a Goss Lake Road resident reported being threatened by a “drug mouth.”

At 4:26 p.m., a resident reported that construction material was stolen from a location on Williams Road.

At 9:23 p.m., a resident reported that someone driving an unregistered Chevy S10 was selling fentanyl.

At 2:56 a.m., there was a report that a man was walking up and down North Main Street yelling.

At 11:28 a.m., a resident reported that a woman at Cornet Bay Road harassed him with racist comments about Native Americans.

At 4:06 p.m., a Tompkins Road resident reported that a boat motor was stolen.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

At 12:22 p.m., a driver reported that an injured owl was on Highway 20.

At 1:52 p.m., a Mills Drive resident reported that “some girls” were lingering around mailboxes.

At 1:53 p.m., a Winston Drive resident reported that a deer ran into a fence and was seriously injured.

At 2:44 p.m., a caller reported that dogs were fighting and people were screaming at Greenbank Farm.
