The Island County commissioners yesterday appointed five volunteers to the county’s Marine Resources Committee.

They are Barbara Bennett, Lois Farrington, Kestutis Tautvydas, David Thomson and Anthony Turpin. The 13-member committee is charged with recommending remedial actions to aid in protecting the local marine environment.
