The board of commissioners for the South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District will meet one day early in both November and December.

Park officials said the change was needed to meet Island County’s financial early deadlines schedule due to the holidays in those two months.

The board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 and Tuesday, Dec. 20 at park district headquarters, located at 5475 Maxwelton Road, Langley

At the board’s meeting this week, officials will get an update of the district’s comprehensive plan and hold a final hearing on the 2012 budget.
