“Two mental health care providers have integrated their executive and administrative services to cut costs.The move was announced Thursday by Community Mental Health Services, a nonprofit provider of mental health and chemical dependency services in Island, Skagit and San Juan counties. The agency is joining with Compass Health, which provides similar services in Snohomish County.John Pederson, president of Community Mental Health, said in a news release that the agreement does not constitute a merger, but said, It is important to move to further strengthen the working relationship between our two organizations. Quality client care remains our primary objective.Rich Anderson, chairman of Compass Health, said the action will improve operational efficiencies which will allow them to put as many dollars as possible into direct services.Jess Jamieson, Ph.D., will remain as CEO for both organizations.
