Long-term parking plans in Mukilteo will be discussed by the Port of South Whidbey commissioners at their upcoming meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014.

The port district will also cover its ongoing projects with the South Whidbey Harbor, Possession Beach boat ramp renovation and cell tower lease, and the proposal to run the Island County Fairgrounds.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District headquarters at 5475 Maxwelton Road, Langley.

Port commissioners will also discuss the process to fill a vacancy in their ranks. Former Commissioner Dennis Gregoire left the port to move to Everett, and his position will be filled by an interim commissioner appointed by the two remaining commissioners, Curt Gordon and Ed Halloran.

Public comment will be accepted near the start of the meeting.
