Parks offers gymnastics classes for ages 3-13

“Kids this summer can leap, tumble, balance and flip as they learn some basic gymnastics in a new summer course being offered by South Whidbey Parks and Recreation.Former club and state gymnast Amy Soltys will teach the classes, with the second session scheduled July 31-Aug. 9. Six one-hour classes will be held in the South Whidbey High School gym on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for two weeks in each session. The gymnastics class is open to boys and girls ages three to 13, with gymnasts grouped according to age: preschoolers, 10 a.m.; beginners, 11 a.m.; intermediates, noon, and advanced, 1 p.m. Cost for the six sessions is $45.
