Peace Club forms at South Whidbey High School

South Whidbey High School student Talon Jorgenson has begun a club that will promote peace in the world as part of her senior project. On Saturday, Jan. 23 the newly-formed Peace Club will host an open mic night at Island Coffee House & Books in Langley.

On Saturday, Jan. 23 the newly-formed Peace Club will host an open mic night at Island Coffee House & Books in Langley.

“The theme of the night is ‘Passing of the Peace,’ and everyone is allowed to walk on in and perform anything you like, from singing to interpretive dance,” Jorgenson explained.

The event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23.

All donations will be forwarded to Change for Tibet and the Good Cheer Food Bank.
