Polar Bear Plunge signups begin

For all those brave and possibly foolhardy folks looking to brave the frigid water of Double Bluff Beach, sign up for the annual Polar Bear Plunge. The $15 event fee includes a T-shirt, hot drinks and benefits the Island County 4-H Teen Ambassador program.

For all those brave and possibly foolhardy folks looking to brave the frigid water of Double Bluff Beach, sign up for the annual Polar Bear Plunge.

The $15 event fee includes a T-shirt, hot drinks and benefits the Island County 4-H Teen Ambassador program.

No lifeguard will be on duty for the New Year’s Day dip, which begins at 10:30 a.m. with a coordinated plunge at noon, Jan. 1.
