State Rep. Norma Smith’s planned meeting with the Clinton Chamber of Commerce this evening has been canceled.
The meeting, planned for 5:30 p.m. at Hong Kong Gardens, will go on as planned but the lawmaker will not be in attendance due to a special legislative session called by Gov. Jay Inslee, according to an email alert from the Clinton Chamber of Commerce.
Smith, R-Clinton, was scheduled to give a presentation about upcoming legislative issues and answer questions from the public.
According to the email alert, Clinton businesswoman Carol Flax and Sherryl Christie-Biershenk, vice president of the Clinton Community Council, will speak in Smith’s place.
