Island County Public Health Department said today that anyone who wants a shot of the H1N1 vaccine can now get one.

All restrictions on those eligible for the vaccine were lifted at noon Monday, Dec. 7.

Prior to today, the vaccines were offered on a priority basis to those considered most at risk from serious effects H1N1 viral infection, and to those providing critical services, such as healthcare workers.

Local supplies now permit offering the vaccine to any who wish to receive it.

The following clinics and local pharmacies are presently participating in the distribution of H1N1 vaccine:

• Freeland Clinic;

• Island Women’s Health;

• South Whidbey Community Clinic;

• South Whidbey Pediatrics;

• Whidbey Community Physicians in Langley and Freeland;

• Whidbey General Hospital, Coupeville.
