To honor the coming return of the salmon, Whidbey Watershed Stewards invites the community to the Maxwelton Outdoor Classroom for a morning of exploring and fun from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 29.

Staff and volunteers will demonstrate the salmon activities students are doing this season and take a walk to see spawning areas in Maxwelton Creek.

People should come dressed for the weather; instruments, poems or other celebratory expressions are welcome.

The classroom is on Maxwelton Road three miles south of Highway 525, just before the Little Brown Church at the French Road intersection.

There is no charge, but donations are welcome. For more information or to RSVP, contact robin@whidbeywatersheds.org or 579-1272.
