School board looks at sex ed, evaluations

The South Whidbey School District school board will meet Wednesday, Sept. 11 for a special business meeting and to review existing policies. The board will discuss a collective bargaining agreement with the South Whidbey Education Association, employee evaluations and a modified school calendar.

The South Whidbey School District school board will meet Wednesday, Sept. 11 for a special business meeting and to review existing policies.

The board will discuss a collective bargaining agreement with the South Whidbey Education Association, employee evaluations and a modified school calendar.

Several policies will also be reviewed by the board including sexual health education, HIV/AIDS prevention education, career and technical education, diplomas for veterans, regulation of dangerous weapons and military leave.

The special meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the workshop begins at 6:45 p.m.

The meeting will take place at a new location at the school board room in South Whidbey Elementary School, 5380 Maxwelton Road, Langley.
