Langley is looking to expand its outdoor public sculpture presence.

The Langley Arts Commission is hosting a competition to display two sculptures on Second Street for one year.

Selected artists get $600, which is funded by a 1 percent budget from the Second Street redesign project that wrapped up in June 2014.

Sculptures installed in the plaza between Callahan’s Firehouse and South Whidbey Commons are also up for sale.

Any work must be suitable for outdoor installation and at most 5,000 pounds and up to 12 feet high.

Applications are due July 1, and sculptures must be ready for installation by the first week of December.
