Simone Sparrow Hess was born on Oct. 31 to parents Teresa and Corey Hess of Langley.

She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 21 inches long. Her big sisters are Rose and Fiona. The family gives special thanks to midwife Cynthia Jaffe, student midwife Gloria Anderson, and friend Jessica Sokei Leon.
