Solstice String Quartet ready for public performances

Group in Langley.The players are Teo Bensen from Coupeville, 1st violin; Langley resident Katie Pugh, viola; Devin Matthews-Jensen, 2nd violin; and Trystan Matthews, cello, both of Freeland.Three are college students, here for the summer. Bensen attends Colorado College; Matthews is at Berkelee School of Music in Boston; and Pugh is a graduate student at National College in Portland. Matthews-Jensen is a high school homeschooler with Shared Schooling and is an Island Strings student studying with Linda Good. Joining the quartet on July 21 will be special guest Ella Vanderbilt, violinist, a college student at McGill University and the daughter of Karen Vanderbilt, one of the building owners.The Solstice String Quartet is rehearsed and ready to play for weddings, parties and community events.
