‘Soul’ is the center of Christian Science service

In her book, “Science and Health,” Mary Baker Eddy lists seven synonyms for God: Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, Love. If God is synonymous with Soul, then people can’t be separated from their soul any more than a ray of sunlight can cease being a reflection from the sun.

This recognition of each person’s permanent connection to God enabled Jesus to heal the blind, the deaf, the lame and the diseased.

On Sunday, Feb. 12, the Christian Science service examines how understanding Soul as a constant resource for reflecting God can bring lives into harmony with health and joy throughout one’s life; one can never be less than God’s reflection any more than a sun ray can lose the quality of light.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. at 15910 Highway 525, just north of Bayview and across from Useless Bay Road.

“Immortality, exempt from age or decay, has a glory of its own — the radiance of Soul,” (“Science and Health”).
