Port of South Whidbey Commissioners will continue its ongoing discussions about the organizational structure of staff at its meeting next week.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13 at South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District, 5475 Maxwelton Road, Langley. The meeting follows a workshop beginning at 7:15 p.m. at the same location.

Staff sought applications to fill a new position for a maintenance supervisor earlier this month. Applications were due Friday, May 9. Early Friday, three applications had been received.

The commissioners will discuss the hiring process and plan interview times with the applicants.

The discussion surrounding the hiring process is part of a larger move to reorganize port staff to include an executive director by the end of the year.
