A decorative railing near the visitor information booth off Highway 525 and Langley Road was repaired after being damaged by a car crash a couple of weeks ago.

Michaleen McGarry, executive director of the Langley Chamber of Commerce, said the estimated cost was between $10,000 and $15,000. All expenses were covered by the driver’s insurance, and the booth co-managed by the Langley and Freeland chambers of commerce was not damaged.

The booth was closed for a couple of weekends while work was finished, but reopened this past weekend and will continue to be staffed by volunteers through the busy tourism season through September.
