St. Augustine’s in-the-Woods Episcopal Church will hold its grand and festive holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the church’s new parish hall at 5217 Honeymoon Bay Road in Freeland.

Shoppers may also enjoy a delicious lunch of homemade soup, bread and pie while at the bazaar.

The St. Augustine bazaar is an eagerly awaited event during the holiday season, featuring a dazzling display of (mostly) homemade gifts, decorations, textiles, tableware, jams, jellies and baked goods. All the items will be “gift-ready” — wrapped, ribboned and ready to be mailed, presented or placed under the tree.

A special feature of this year’s bazaar will be tours of St. Augustine’s new parish hall and office complex, which was completed earlier this year at a cost of more than $2 million. Tours will highlight the many “green” features of the new building which were incorporated to reduce energy usage and resource consumption. The addition was designed by Coupeville architect Stig Carlson, who will be a guest at the holiday bazaar.
