Students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to have loads of fun this summer with South Whidbey Parks & Recreation classes.
Classes are June 23 to July 18 in the South Whidbey Commons Backroom and other community locations.
Middle school and high school students can choose to get active with classes like rock climbing, tactile adventure games, camping at Mount Rainier, sea kayaking, soccer by George and geocaching.
The more creative types might be interested in writing for movement, performing Shakespeare’s sonnets and monologues, a creative collaboration with nature, introduction to marimba and other exciting projects.
Students can also learn some valuable skills like first aid and CPR certification, cooking classes, gardening, a wellness workshop or learning what the local sheriff does.
