Island County Superior Court Judge Vicki Churchill will host a “Meet the Judges” event later this week in Oak Harbor.

Two state Supreme Court judges — Justice Charles Johnson and Justice Mary Fairhurst — will attend the non-partisan event and take questions from the audience.

“This is a great opportunity for voters to meet these two important jurists and ask questions,” Churchill said.

Churchill, who has been a judge in Island County Superior Court for 12 years, is seeking reelection in August.

She is facing a challenge for the court’s Position 2 spot from Coupeville attorney Craig Platt.

The “Meet the Judges” event is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at Churchill’s home at 2775 N. David Lane, Oak Harbor.
