At 5:53 p.m., a Homestead Road resident reported that a hummingbird at the feeder might be in danger from the cold.

Friday, Dec. 31

Any 3:32 p.m., a caller on Meadowood Lane reported that his neighbor tried to run him over three times.

At 7:17 p.m., a driver reported that a man jumped out in front of his car on Swantown Avenue. The man then started walking down the middle of the road.

Saturday, Jan. 1

At 1:27 a.m., a caller on Highway 20 reported that his sister’s boyfriend took his Cadillac to a store and then handed the keys to a stranger, who drove off with it.

Sunday, Jan. 2

At 9:31 a.m., a Hastie Lake Road resident reported that an injured woodpecker was on the deck.

At 12:24 p.m., a caller reported that a woman who had been sleeping in a truck on East Sleeper Road during the cold weather was found dead inside. Deputies and firefighters who responded, however, discovered it was a mannequin. Reports are unclear as to whether firefighters administered CPR.

At 1:47 p.m., a caller reported that a tent in Rhododendron Park was collapsed and someone was inside.

At 7:39 a.m., a caller at the hospital reported that a patient refused to stay in his room and tried to assault another patient.

At 2:10 p.m., a caller reported that a Whidbey Telecom generator was stolen from East Harbor Road.

At 4:50 p.m., a Cedar Acres Lane resident reported that an elderly man on a scooter was ringing a cow bell for help.

At 8:16 a.m., a Scenic Heights Road resident reported that a baby cow was standing in her yard.

At 12:34 a.m., a caller on Carl Avenue reported that he was the president of the United States, the vice president and the U.S. marshal. The caller said he was checking in to see if the dispatcher needed anything.

At 10:36 a.m., a driver reported that a woman was trying to jump out of a vehicle at a stoplight on Highway 525 at Bayview Road.

At 4:39 p.m., a caller on Highway 525 reported that “a transient type toothless female covered in blankets” keeps popping into a business.

At 8:55 p.m., a caller on Sidney Street reported being stuck in Russia with a SEAL team.

At 9:55 p.m., a Longwood Lane resident reported that someone has explicit photos of him and threatened to post them online if he does not pay.
