The pruning demonstration and work party at the Good Cheer Food Bank garden that was planned for FEb. 23 was rescheduled due to last week’s snow.

Local gardener Sarah Birger will demonstrate the pruning of young fruit trees during the Wednesday, March 2 work party at the garden, said garden coordinator Cary Peterson.

The demonstration will be at 11 a.m., and will include hands-on experience, so bring your clippers, Peterson said.

The garden’s weekly Wednesday work party is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes a picnic lunch at noon.
There’s also a work party from 1 to 4 p.m. each Monday at the Langley Middle School garden.
