Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife looking for fishing group advisors

Anyone interested in advising on policy issues regarding steelhead and cutthroat trout should consider joining the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) citizen advisory group.

Anyone interested in advising on policy issues regarding steelhead and cutthroat trout should consider joining the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) citizen advisory group.

The department may pick 15 individuals to serve two-year terms on the group. New terms begin in January, with meetings scheduled approximately four months each year.

Applicants should have a broad interest in steelhead and cutthroat and will need to clearly communicate with the public and explain their ideas and advice to fisheries managers within the WDFW.

Nominations, including self-nominations, can be submitted by a group or an individual by 5 p.m. Nov. 30. Information to be included: nominee’s name, address, email address, telephone number, relevant experience, interest in serving on the group, nominee’s affiliations, communication skills, and contact information for person or organization submitting a nomination.
