Whidbey distillery wins prestigious award

Cadée Distillery, located in Clinton, was recently named as an award winner in the American Distilling Institute 2016 competition. The winning spirit, Cascadia rye whiskey, ages in American oak barrels and finished in 20-year old port barrels imported from Portugal. “We are thrilled at this early stage to have won such a prestigious award and significant accolades from the distilled spirits community with the release of our first double barrel finished rye whiskey,” a press release said.
