Whidbey General Hospital Auxiliary awarded two $600 scholarships for Whidbey Island students pursuing a career in a health-related field.

Whidbey General Hospital Auxiliary awarded two $600 scholarships for Whidbey Island students pursuing a career in a health-related field.

The winner of the Charlotte Dowler Memorial Scholarship is Danielle Johnson, daughter of James and Carrie Johnson of Langley.

Johnson plans to attend Seattle Pacific University to pursue a degree in nursing, specializing in neonatal care.

The Wilma Patrick Scholarship was awarded to McKenzie McCormack.  She is the daughter of Rob and Hope McCormack of Oak Harbor.  McKenzie has been accepted to Washington State University with the goal of attaining her bachelor’s of nursing, and also specializing in neonatal care.
