Whidbey Island Community Orchestra has a new, familiar, and prominent musician at the helm.

Whidbey Island Community Orchestra has a new, familiar, and prominent musician at the helm.

Cynthia Morrow took over conductor duties after serving as concertmaster for the past year. She replaces Tigran Arakelyan, who resigned to focus on his doctorate work at the University of Washington.

Morrow is a professional musician, performing on violin as one half of the Deux Femmes. She also teaches violin on Whidbey Island.
