WhidbeyHealth brings women’s health services to Freeland

Women’s health services are now available at WhidbeyHealth Primary Care in Freeland, WhidbeyHealth recently announced.

Longtime obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Robert Burnett sees patients in Freeland on Mondays and Tuesdays, and certified nurse midwife Alicia Darr, ARNP, is in clinic on Tuesdays. Services include acute care, well woman exams, contraception and pregnancy care.

Burnett is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has been on WhidbeyHealth’s medical staff since 2006 and has been delivering babies for more than 30 years. Darr provides a midwife’s natural approach to childbirth with immediate access to specialized medical care during delivery, should the need arise.

“This is about expanding access and about making care more convenient,” says Michael Zervas, director of WhidbeyHealth Practice Management in a press release.

“South Whidbey women who are planning their pregnancy care have told us they would like the option of seeing their provider in Freeland,” says Olivia Fisher, clinic supervisor of WhidbeyHealth Women’s Care. “If the patient prefers, she can schedule some of her visits in Coupeville and some in Freeland with the same provider.”

WhidbeyHealth Primary Care Freeland is located at 5486 Harbor Avenue.
