Anna Warnock

Anna Marion Warnock, 93, died peacefully Jan. 8, 2004, at the Careage Care Facility, Coupeville, where she had resided since 1998.

She was born March 18, 1910, in Nathrop, Colo., to William and Anna Young. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Seattle, and then attended business school. In 1934 she married Robert L. Warnock in Seattle. She had many interesting jobs through the years. She was a clerk at a newspaper, worked for a telephone company, worked in the Edmonds Post Office, packed apples, was an airplane spotter in World War II, and worked in a dentist’s office in Oroville. She was known as the “Energizer Bunny” by her family.

In 1991 she was preceded in death by Robert L. Warnock, her husband of 56 years. She also was preceded by her parents, a sister and a brother.

She is survived by a son, Robert, a daughter-in-law, Noreen; two nieces, Judy Forcier and Eleanor Sellers; grandchildren Robert G. Warnock Jr., Lori and Albert Gabelein, and Chris and Rita Burns; and great-grandchildren Julie, Jennifer and Steven Gabelein.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Alzheimer’s Research. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 4104, Bellingham, WA 98227.
