Ardele M. Goforth

Ardele M. Goforth was touched the hand of God on a beautiful cold Thursday morning, Feb. 16, 2006.

She was born to Ray and Geneva Momany in Everett on April 9, 1925. Ardele went to school in Washington, Oregon and California and after graduating from high school, she went to work in Auburn where she met Dave. They were married Feb. 21, 1947.

Ardele and Dave lived in Auburn and then Seattle where they raised their family.

In 1973 they moved to Whidbey Island where she fulfilled a lifelong dream of living at the beach for several years. Mom loved taking care of her family, sewing, gardening and cooking.

Ardele was preceded in death by her youngest son, Ray in 1983 and her sister, Gerry.

Ardele is survived by her husband, Dave, of 58 years; a son, Jack Goforth and his wife Sharon of Bonney Lake; a daughter, Candy Lincoln and her husband Scott; four grandchildren, three great-grandchilden, a sister-in-law in Bellingham, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Bayview Cemetery.
