Ben Schumacher

Benno M. “Ben” Schumacher, 88, of Clinton, died Oct. 7, 2003, at his home.p He was born Nov. 30, 1914, at Bayview to Richard and Dorothy Schumacher. He married June Galbreath, and they were married for 60 years. He was a logger while the couple raised their four children. He was a baseball coach and was involved in other sports of his children. He worked for Peter Pan Seafood in Alaska for many years.p He was preceded in death by his wife, June, and a son, Clifford.p He is survived by two sons, Max, and his wife, Charlotte, and Lloyd and his wife, Sally, all of Clinton; a daughter, Judy A. Moore, and her husband, Will, of Clinton; a daughter-in-law, Arlene (Billie) Schumacher of Olympia; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lily Nelson, Everett; and a dear companion, Irene Moison.p Graveside services were conducted Oct. 10 at Bayview Cemetery, Langley.p Arrangements were under the direction of Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
