Betty J. Hvitfeldtsen left her remaining family on Feb. 19, 2011 to join her son Gregory L. Knutson.

Betty was born on Feb. 9, 1929 in Everett to Irving and Bessie Jewett.

In 1976, as a very independent single mother of four, Betty purchased property in Langley and became a very active member of the community. She enjoyed her friends at the Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club as well as the Eagles Aerie. Betty was always present at the notorious “Saggers” club’s lengthy luncheons, and loved to play Bingo, dance and watch her beautiful sunsets.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving children, Kevin Knutson, Kristine Boykin and Julie Schuester, as well as her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. We love you Mom!
