Daniel Greve

Daniel Ralph Greve was a long time South Whidbey Island resident, who passed away at his home in Clinton, Washington, on May 20th, 2013. He was born June 2nd, 1950 in Seattle, and was the first of five children, born to Donald and Lillian (Crutchfield) Grevé.

Dan graduated from Langley High School in 1968, where he rocked his “Beatles” haircut, while playing baseball for the Falcons. While growing up and throughout his life, Dan loved to fish for salmon out of Mutiny Bay with his Father, siblings, children and friends. After High School, Dan attended a three year Seattle apprenticeship program in carpentry, where he honed his wood working skills. He was quite the carpenter, working for prestigious builders most of his career, before ultimately starting his own business.

Dan is survived by his five children; Shane, Brad, Chaela, Jake and Greta, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sunday, June 2nd, at 2pm in Freeland, WA. All who knew and appreciated Dan are welcome to attend. A family gathering will occur afterwards, at the Grevé family property on Mutiny Bay.
