Daniel J. Smith, 58, son of Robert V. and Mary C. Smith, passed away Dec. 3, 2009 at home in Huntsville, Ala. He was surrounded by his wife Bonnie, and children Sabrena and Daniel J. Jr., and his mother Mary.

Dan grew up in Bellevue, graduated from Bellevue High School and Washington State University. He was employed by Boeing for more than 25 years. His summers and vacations were spent at Sandy Hook on Whidbey Island.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Langley.
