Diana Lea Bailey, born April 14, 1949 and a lifetime resident of both Island and Skagit counties, entered into rest unexpectedly at her home in Mount Vernon, on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at the age of 59.

Her father, David V. Walker, and her brother Charles D. “Mike” Walker precede Diana in death.

She is survived by her mother Doris Walker of Sedro-Woolley; her siblings, Suzy Fortino of Everett, Nancy Lenz of Stanwood and brother Rick Walker of Sedro-Woolley; her two children, Karen (David) Huff and Rusty (Donna) Bailey; five grandchildren, Brooke Huff, Chelsea Huff, McKayla Bailey, McKenzie Bailey and Mollie Bailey, all of Coupeville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her most cherished and beloved dog Sassy.

There will be a private family service at Sunnyside Cemetery of Coupeville, and a celebration of Diana’s life will be held April 18 at Jenne Farm in Coupeville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Affordable Burial & Cremation Services of Mount Vernon. Cards of condolence may be sent to the family in care of the funeral home.
