Donna Lee Johnson passed away on July 4, 2009 in her home surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her loving husband George (Larry) L. Johnson, daughter Tracy Krylo and husband Jim, son Scott Williams and wife Carrie, daughter Diane Lafond and husband Fran, 10 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and her extended family at the Senior Community Thrift. Donna was preceded in death by her eldest son Steven Williams.

Donna married Larry in 1977 and moved to Whidbey from California in 1983 where she continued to be very community minded.

She volunteered at both Good Cheer and the Senior Community Thrift for a combined total of 25-plus years. She enjoyed the interaction with those around her. She had a love for trees, and she had a most impressive cookbook collection.

One of her favorite things to do was to go up to the casino with Larry, have dinner and make a “donation.” Donna was fun-loving and highly respected by all she came in contact with. She always had time for a friend.

Always loving, always loved and greatly missed by those who knew her. Donna, may you rest in peace, for you are forever in our hearts. We miss you!
