Edward Joseph Myszkowski, 71, of Langley, died May 22, 2003, in Coupeville.

He was born Sept. 12, 1931, in Chicago to Paul and Angela Myszkowski. He married Alice Gradall. They moved from the Silver Lake area to Whidbey Island 13 years ago. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Hubert Catholic Church, Langley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Julia Slota and Jean Myszkowski; and Julia Gradall.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Myszkowski, of Langley; a daughter, Marian Myszkowski of Boston; four sisters, Vicki Sindler, Virgie Potempa, Sophie Becker and Marian Horacek and her husband, Martin, all of the Chicago area; a brother, William Myszkowski, of the Chicago area; in-laws Glenda and Charles Eggensammer and Pat and Donald Manahan; and a nephew, Michael.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Langley.
