Frederick Van Benschoten II, 68, passed away at Whidbey General Hospital on April 13, 2011.

He was born in Rochester, N.Y. on Nov. 19, 1942.

He last worked at Useless Bay Golf & Country Club as a greenskeeper and became supervisor, retiring after

34 years of service.

After retiring, he raised and farmed his cows until his passing.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Jean Laws-Van Benschoten; brother Charles Van Benschoten; children Frederick, Darla (Elliot), Charles and Lisa; and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
