Gail F. Groh

Gail F. (Tisa) “Gilly” Groh passed away at home on Nov. 23, 2008, with her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was predeceased by son Craig; parents Stephen and Connie Tisa; and nephew, Brandon Zito. She is survived by her devoted husband Gene; dutiful children, Eric (Carly) and Rory (Rachel); grandchildren, Paige and Ethan Groh; sisters, Stephanie Tisa-Zito and Christine Tisa; brother, Jack (Liz McPhee) Tisa; sister-in-law, Barbara (Joe) Reynolds; nieces and nephews, Tisa, Aubrie and Colby Zito, Madison Tisa-McPhee, Mike (Mariam) Witthuhn, Michelle (Rob) Thibault; and extraordinary friend, Judy Ficarro. Gail volunteered as president for Penfield’s and Monroe County’s Vince Lombardi football program in New York, and worked for the Penfield School District in food service for

18 years. She retired from the Wolcott-North Rose School District as cook-manager due to health reasons.

Gail’s family was always her main priority in life. She was a beloved and selfless wife, mother and grandmother. She loved antiquing, gardening, music, playing cards with family and friends, and just laughing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to School of the Childhood, 100 Groton Pkwy, Rochester, NY 14623. Interment is in Oakwood Cemetery; arrangements are by Falvo Funeral Home.
