Gilbert F. Horvath

Gilbert F. Horvath, 85, of Marysville and Clinton died Nov. 10, 2006.

He was born Dec. 16, 1920 in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Veit and Julia Horvath, and grew up in

St. Louis.

He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Ross as a boatswain’s mate.

Gil married Ruby in 1946. He retired from Western Gear and was Past Master of Langley Lodge No. 218. He faceted semi-precious stones and became a silversmith. He enjoyed oil and watercolor painting after his retirement.

Gil is survived by daughter Marlee (Dan) Fowler and his son Gilbert L. (Kim) Horvath; three grandchildren: Audra Horvath, Jered and Blair Fowler; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and six brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 at Cypress Lawn Mausoleum.
