Hiroo Akaike, age 78, died Oct. 27, 2006. He was born on Sept. 26, 1929 in Tokyo, Japan and worked as a dentist for 40 years.

Hiroo married to Yuriko Okubo in December 1958 and the couple had one daughter and one son.

After he retired at age 65, he decided to move to Whidbey Island. He really enjoyed playing golf with his friends and also liked to travel. He loved Whidbey Island and all his American friends very much.

His spirit is always here with us. Hiroo was a very sweet family man. We would like to say “thank you” to everyone who loved Hiroo and shared his life with friendship.
