Iain Andrew Ferguson

Iain Andrew Ferguson entered eternal peace on March 5, 2006 at Scripps Green Hospital, La Jolla, Calif., after courageously fighting brain cancer for 13 months.

Iain was born in St. Annes-on-Sea, England on Nov. 11, 1965 and emigrated to the United States in 1966 with his parents John and Anne Ferguson and sister

Karen Ferguson.

He graduated from Interlake High School in Bellevue and Bellevue Community College. Iain was a fine athlete and loved all sports playing baseball, soccer and golf.

After working in men’s fashion at Nordstrom, he turned to his passion of golf and graduated from the San Diego Golf Academy in 1994. He was appointed Assistant Golf Professional at

Aviara Golf Club, Carlsbad, Calif.

During his 15 years in the San Diego area he continued in the golf retail and equipment testing businesses until he was diagnosed with cancer.

Iain met the love of his life,

fiancée, friend and companion Meredith Langevin in March 2004 and a beautiful loving relationship developed which supported each other through the difficult times with love and laughter.

Iain just loved to visit back home, play golf with friends and family and play with his little niece Kendall; they had a special relationship.

Friendship to Iain was a very important part of his life.

With his empathetic, fun loving and caring personality Iain made many friends and always kept in touch with them; friends from high school, business and golf. Iain’s love and presence will be missed by all that knew him.

Iain is survived by parents, John and Anne Ferguson of Langley; fiancée Meredith Langevin of Cardiff, Calif.; and sister Karen Ferguson-Womack and niece

Kendall Womack of Mukilteo.

A memorial service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 18341 Highway 525, Freeland at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9 followed by an informal buffet.
