Joan Jardine

Joan Jardine, 78, died in the early morning hours of March 20, 2010.I

She was born Jan. 1, 1932 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather May and Frank Price.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wilfred of 48 years.

Joan is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Jim and Margaret Steele of Yuma, Ariz.; nieces Linda Mattson (Larry) of Puyallup and Carol Mayfield of Everett.

She also leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law Jim and Pamm Jardine of Kirkland and her pride and joy; grandson Michael Jardine of Mill Creek.

Joan spent many wonderful years on Whidbey Island as an active member of the Senior Center “Fun Band” and the Langley Christian Missionary Alliance Church, where she played the piano and sang in the choir.

She recently moved to Merrill Gardens in Mill Creek, where in the short period of time she lived there, she made many new friends and entertained them with her honky-tonk piano.

A memorial service and celebration of her life was held Friday, March 26 at the Langley Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made in her name to the South Whidbey Senior Center in Bayview.
