John F. Belcher went to be at home with the Lord on Oct. 29, 2011.

He was born in Texas and enlisted in the Navy from there and married Shirley E. Goldsmith on Dec. 24, 1955.

They had two children, Robert E. Belcher and Earla J. Belcher, both of whom preceded John in death.

John loved making music, living life, his family and friends as well. He was loved by everyone he knew. He lived life to its fullest and loved learning new things every day.

John F. Belcher is survived by his brother Felton and his wife Evelyn; his brother Ray and his wife Kathryn; his sister-in-law Doris E. Clark; his grandchildren Danny and his wife Nancy, Derrick and Lacey Cope; and his great-grandchildren, Christy and Sarah Cope.

John will be greatly missed. ’Till we meet again, Grandpa.
