Long Alvina

Alvina (Lott) Long, a longtime resident of South Whidbey and more recently of Forks/Sekiu, passed away of natural causes on June 6, 2006 in St. David Ariz.

Alvina was born to Alvin (Buzz) and Doretta Fern Becker on Oct. 6, 1931. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband Wally Lott; stepson W.D. Lott; grandsons Kelly Wiley and Wade Leese; and her only sister, The Reverend Ruby Rose Becker.

She is survived by her loving husband Vern Long; daughters Sandy (Lott) Clarke (Walter), Debi Hughes(Bill), Suzi (Leese) Macanulty (Bob Smith); son Rocky Skaggs(Marcella); grandchildren Dean del Rosario (Michelle), Alvina Wolf (Robert), Lani Brown (Bill), Lance Leese, David Dewey Leese (Summer), Pheonix, Mac, Cody And Rocky Skaggs Jr., Tia Yeakel and Amber Hughes.

She also has eight great-grandchildren; Michael Dean del Rosario, Cameron Leese, Zachary Redinus, Maxine and Jake Wolf, Jonathan and Jake Brown, and Ava Rose Leese.

A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at the American Legion Post 141 and at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 29 at the Masonic Lodge in Forks.

We will all miss her laughter, her loving support, friendship and the special and wonderful lady she was.
