Margaret Bingham of Freeland passed away on April 27, 2011 after a short illness.

She was born in Oakland, Calif. on Nov. 27, 1928, the youngest daughter of John and Jenny Mikkelsen.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Bingham of Riverside, Wash.; daughter and son-in-law, Ardeth and James Bolin of Langley; grandson, Evan Bolin of Bellevue; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Roberta Mikkelsen of Santa Rosa, Calif.; many nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends.

Margaret moved to Seattle in 1994 to be close to her family, then to Whidbey Island in 2007.

She was a beloved, devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed by her family.

The family would like to thank caregivers Dorris and Chris (Homestead AFH, Coupeville) for their loving, gentle care of Margaret during her last two months.
