Marjean Dorothy (Olsen) Bacon was born March 31, 1917 in Tacoma. She passed away on Jan. 1, 2008.

She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Seattle and married the love of her life, Eugene Bacon on April 30, 1938. They enjoyed 50 years together, raising their family, being active in their church and traveling the world. They retired to Whidbey Island in 1971 and were extremely active in Island life.

She is survived by her three sons, Jerry (Daunne) of Whidbey Island, Ken (Barbara) of Spokane and Bruce (Linda) of Mount Vernon; six grandsons, 10 great-grandchildren and her beloved niece, Jill McBurnett of Euless, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 19523 84th Ave. W., Edmonds.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be directed to the American Cancer Society or Goodwill.
