Maxine Jewell Domon

Maxine “Mickey” Jewell Domon, 74, of Langley, died June 14, 2003, in Coupeville.

She was born March 11, 1929, in Omaha, Neb. She moved to Whidbey Island from Southern California eight years ago. She was self-employed as a bookkeeper.

According to her family, Brookhaven was her haven. Living on South Whidbey was a life she enjoyed — life filled with beauty, family, friends, neighbors, community, safety, peace, joy and tranquility.

She is survived by a son, David Lamm; two daughters, Nancy Delk and her husband, William, and Mariko Koughan and her husband, Patrick; a sister, Ninette Brown; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.
