Melanie Treviño: April 21, 1987 – January 1, 2022

Melanie Grace Treviño, age 34, passed away January 1, 2022 in Alice, Texas. She was born April 21, 1987 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Leon Walter Price and Grace Sanchez. Melanie previously worked as a substitute teacher in Washington prior to moving to Alice. She loved learning about different cultures, places, and people. Reading allowed her to journey life and the aspects that connect us all. You would often find Melanie quietly reading a book. She built wisdom around her opinions due to the knowledge she had by reading. A quote from Joseph Addison, “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” Melanie revolved her world around her children whom she was extremely proud of and took pride in homeschooling them for one year. She will forever be remembered for her love of her animals and her unconditional and devotion to her family and children. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leon Walter Price Sr. and Frankie Ruth Price; maternal grandparents, Pablo and Maria del Carmen Sanchez.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Tiburcio “B.J.” Treviño III of Alice; two children, Tiburcio “Zeke” Treviño IV and Sienna Grace Treviño both of Alice; parents, Leon Walter Price of Corpus Christi and Grace Sanchez of Alice; brother, Jesus Perez Jr. “J.J.” of San Antonio; sister, Tanya Arredondo (Angel) of Robstown; mother-in-law, Belinda Soto (Jesus) of Alice; father-in-law, Tiburcio Treviño Jr. (Anna) of Alice; nieces and nephews, Draven Cade, Aiden D’Angelo, Evin Ishua, Angel Orion Arredondo, Nayelli, Noriah, and Natalie Treviño; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her three furry pet companions, Nakiya, Deuce, and Amraam. Visitation will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a prayer service being held at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral service will be held

Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10 a.m. Rosas Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Seaside Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Aiden Arredondo, Evin Arredondo, J.J. Perez, B.J. Treviño, Michael Ellis, Rupert Cadena, Zeke Treviño, and Angel Arredondo.
